| Trenny Robb, lamp-maker, has been featured on a number of
TV shows, Extreme Builders, Made in VT with Jack Thurston, Across the Fence,
Crossroads and others. Trenny and husband Bob Michaud, handcraft antiqued
copper, brass and tinned copper lamps with hand stamped designs. They are
accompanied by shades crafted from natural and amber mica with a selection of
plant leaves or flowers applied. Each piece is unique balancing function
with a personal earthy artistic vision. She has a loyal following of clients
who frequently collect more than one lamp or want custom pieces created. Nathan Taylor is a nationally known basket-maker and author. He has been a major force in preventing the loss of basket-making as an American craft/art. He works in split ash and wicker, adding other woods for handles and lids. The gallery will be offering a class with him later in this year. Please contact the gallery if you are interested in being notified of class dates. Amanda Ryznar is a potter who “hand-carves” her thrown white stoneware pots. She creates dimensional surfaces featuring twining floral patterns, thickets of bamboo and leaves or schools of fish amongst bubbles. No two are exactly alike. This is functional art on a very interesting level.” |
