Trenny Robb and Robert Michaud are lighting designers and manufactures of all
types of lighting. Together they run High Beams Ltd. Located in the North
East Kingdom, town of Sutton, Vermont
Trenny and Bob started out 26 years ago making lights of recycled lamps and reproducing
Victorian style light fixtures and chandeliers. As time went on they began
making standing and table lamps out of copper and brass with shades made from
leaves and flowers. The mica rock that Trenny uses for her shades is mined
out and then bound together with a binder and baked in large ovens to make sheets. The
sheets are then cut to make the shades. The shades are trimmed in copper
and given a patina. The botanicals are then applied using 3 different types
of nontoxic polymers.
The lamps are made of Copper and Brass. The artists pound their designs
into the metal using screwdrivers and hammers. They also make their own
finials to go with the lamps.
High Beams now does lighting all over the US and down in the Caribbean. They
do lighting in all periods, indoor and out and can help you design a light or
make what you have designed.
